The apartment offers the breathtaking view. It's truly
stunning and makes the stay so special. The apartment itself is
beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed
our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and
comfortable getaway. The only small issue I had was with the
mattress. It was quite firm and caused me some discomfort, making
it hard to get a good night's sleep. For those who prefer a softer,
more supportive mattress, I'd recommend reaching out to see if
additional padding or a mattress topper could be arranged.
Otherwise, I ended up sleeping on the couch, which was a bit
better. This is a minor point in an otherwise wonderful experience,
and it wouldn't stop me from recommending this lovely place!

We had a very good stay in Faja de Ovelha. We stayed in Sunset cliff house number 3 and this villa and the entire property (I believe there are 6 houses in total) is amazing: nice pool, great views, everything clean, and also beautiful weather. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The description we got through Airbnb on how to get to the property is a bit confusing in the end. Lidia also sends a Google maps location (sunset cliff villas I believe), and that is best to find the home, as gps sends you to a street with the same name but at a different spot.... There are 2 cats, who walk around and also try to come into the houses... We booked 4 nights and we visited Paul do Mar, Calheta, Ponta do Pargo, Achadas da Cruz (hike down to the ocean and then up with the teleferico) and we also hiked PR 6 (levada of the 25 fontes, the Risco waterfall and we also did Tunel do Cavalho).

We're convinced that this is one of the nicest places to stay
in Madeira. The view from the pool is amazing and it's a quick
drive to some beautiful lookouts. There are multiple friendly cats
that try their hardest to run through the door each time we opened
them, but they're harmless. The space itself was very clean and
comfortable. We would recommend it to anyone!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Apartmenthaus hatte alles
was man benötigt. Alles, auch die Poolanlage, war sehr schön und
sauber. Man hat eine grandiose Aussicht und eine gute Privatsphäre.
Ein Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich. Es stehen genügend Parkplätze
zur Verfügung. Auf Fragen und Wünsche wurde sehr freundlich und
sofort reagiert und Juan hat sich umgehend um alles gekümmert. Wir
würden dieses Apartment jederzeit wieder buchen und können es nur
empfehlen.

We loved staying at the villa, check in was easy, Linda was
very responsive and nice, the pool and the view was amazing, it was
a nice touch that there were available dishwasher tablets and
washing machine detergent + all of the condiments needed for
cooking. Overall a 10+ experience, would go there again.

We are three students who went on a hiking trip the past week.
The villa exceeded our expectations: Outstanding view from the pool
area and from the bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, spacious living
room and super clean. Lidia and Juan were very kind and helpful.
The villa was a perfect starting point for day trips all around
Madeira. The roads to the villa were good however the last ramp is
very steep but we did not have a problem with this. We would
definitely stay at the sunset villas again!

We stayed one week at this beautiful airbnb and had a great
time there. The View is increadable expacally when it's sunset
time. The Villa was clean and nicely decoraded. We can highly
recommend this accommodation! Just one advice the airbnb is far
away from the big city funchal so a car would be useful, but be
careful the driveway to the villa is a little bit steep :)

The property was beautiful and was a very spacious villa. It
was perfect for 3 of us to stay in. It was extremely clean in the
villas, each of the yards and the pool area was extremely clean.
The beauty of the property exceeded the photos! Lidia and Juan were
very responsive and helpful hosts and helped resolve issues
quickly. The property is much more remote than we expected, and it
was quite a drive to get to from anywhere else on the island that
we wanted to see. The last 5 minutes of the drive was a steep windy
cliff which we were not prepared for. Further, the our lock to our
villa was broken upon arrival. While Juan came to fix it at 10 PM,
it still would have been nice if it was checked and resolved before
we arrived, since it took 3 hours to repair noisily which took away
from the relaxation. There also wasn't any soap/ shampoo/body wash
in the bathrooms which would have been a nice touch for guests.
There was also no AC.

Wir waren für 4 Nächte dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Kommunikation war super. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber. In der
Küche fehlen vielleicht ein paar Müslischalen aber das ist nur eine
Kleinigkeit. Ein bisschen Duschgel/Shampoo im Bad wäre toll. Der
Pool ist super aber sehr kalt. Dafür gibt es genügend Sonnenliegen
und Schirme. Alles in allem eine tolle Unterkunft mit einem
unvergesslichen Ausblick. Wir würden gerne noch einmal
wiederkommen.

to communicate. Offered great suggestions. The place itself was
very clean and the view with the pool is incredible. Note, this
place is about 45 minutes from Funchal and minimum of 20-30 minutes
away from most tourist attractions. Renting a car is a must
otherwise it might be tough to see Madeira. Overall, it was a great
experience.

Nun, ich denke die Bilder sprechen für sich und es ist so wie
auf den Bildern. Eine moderne Anlage mit 5 4-6 Personen-Villen, die
zum Zeitpunkt als wir dort waren alle von angenehmen, ruhigen
internationalen Gästen gebucht waren. Ca. 50 min Fahrt, aber
angenehm über die Schnellstraßen, vom Flughafen. Aber einen
kraftvollen, wendigen Automatikmietwagen sollte man auf Madeira
aber haben, sonst sieht man nicht wirklich was von der Insel. Der
Kontakt mit dem Host (Lidia) war immer freundlich, proaktiv mit
allen notwendigen Informationen und Beschreibungen. Die Villa war
bei Übergabe blitzsauber, so wie vieles auf Madeira, mit allen
nötigen zur Selbstversorgung modern und aufgeräumt eingerichtet.
W-Lan und TV sehr gut und mit allen akt. üblichen Apps und Zugängen
versehen. Schön angelegte kleine private Gärten mit Liegen Grill
und Essplatz, unsere Villa (Nr. 3) hatte einen traumhaften Blick
auf den fast täglichen Sundowner. Der Pool sauber und modern.
Kurzum wenn Madeira dann wieder hier!!

Great accommodation. Good space, all amenities that you need
(inside and out) and really clean. Good communication with rental
team, who answered all queries very promptly. Property is a bit
isolated - other properties are in the complex and there is a cafe
a short walk away, but not much else around. You really need a car.
But with one, so much to see and do in the immediate area and in
the rest of the island. Can certainly recommend the property.

Blick an einem Hang. Vom Pool hat man einen grandiosen Blick auf
das drunterliegende Dörfchen am Meer. Die Villa ist gut
eingerichtet und sehr modern, wir haben nichts vermisst. Ohne
Mietwagen wird es schwer, daher ist dieser sehr zu empfehlen. Wir
würden die Unterkunft erneut buchen. Die Kommunikation hat
ebenfalls super geklappt.

Great villa! The view is stunning, we enjoyed the ocean all
the time. Near the pool you can sunbathe even in January, a
beautiful view of the nearby town opens up. The villa is clean, has
everything you need - kitchen appliances, oven, dishwasher, washing
machine, dryer, refrigerator. There were two bathrooms and clean
linens. The hostess was responsive and helpful, provided all the
necessary instructions for check-in and check-out. Excellent
accommodation - which is fully consistent with its price.
Definitely recommend and would love to come back again

Overall a very nice place with beautiful surroundings and a
stunning view from the pool (which was a bit too cold for a swim
most of the days, but that is probably normal in December…) All
amenities you'd need. You need a car if you want to get around
easily, shop for groceries etc.

Beautiful place! Out of the main city but honestly preferred
that as it has beautiful views. Would absolutely require a car
rental which is helpful anyways for getting around the island. The
hosts were extremely responsive and helpful - provided food
recommendations and other recommendations in the area including
hikes. I would absolutely recommend this stay.

uns mehr Zeit am Haus verbringen, als wir es geplant hatten. Waren
dennoch viel unterwegs und haben wenig gekocht. Selbstversorger
könnten sich an der spartanisch ausgestatteten Küche stören. Zu
wenig von allem, außer (Wein-)Gläser. Für uns aber kein Problem.
Lidia und Juan waren stets ansprechbar, die Flasche Wein zur
Begrüßung hat gemundet. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei Euch.

Super behulpzame host. Ruim en proper appartement. Alles is
aanwezig om eerste dagen door te komen zoals peper, zout, olie,
wijn,... Leuk zwembad, kleine tuin om te genieten. Informatie
brochures aanwezig.

Sunset villas are a dream to stay at! The rooms are clean and spacious You have your ery own mini garden/veranda and a balcony with seating too. And if you're lucky like we were, we saw a sunset on our last night (as it's very cloudy and misty because you're so high up) you don't always see it. Juan was fantastic, he shown us around our villa and told us everything we needed to know. He also supplied us with lots of information for nearby restaurants and sights to see. As you are in a little village 45mins from Funchal, a car is definitely necessary. There are things to do nearby but a car is key. Especially with the windy tight roads. They're not as scary as people may think, just make sure you're comfortable driving on the left (which we don't back in the UK) Totally recommend if you want a place that's away from the busy towns and tourists and you want to escape but have the freedom to roam the island. This place is perfect

Lidia & Juan sont 2 hôtes extrêmement bienveillant, ils sont disponibles, souriant et à notre écoute. Tout est à disposition dans la villa pour passer plusieurs jours, voire semaine là-bas. La vue y est incroyable, on se sent comme chez soi ! La liste des recommandations de la région est géniale et permis de passer un superbe séjour. Allez-y les yeux fermés, je recommande très fortement !

Extrem schöne einzigartige Location. Sehr sauber, modern und top ausgestattet (Küche mit Töpfen/Pfannen/Salz/Pfeffer/Öl/Balsamico/Sieben/Reiben/Grill; Pool mit Liegen und Pooltüchern; Waschmaschine, Trockner und Wäscheständer). Wir haben eine super Zeit verbraucht und würden jederzeit sofort wieder einen tollen Urlaub dort verbringen!

We love the villa, it is clean and stylish. The private garden is cute, the balcony has a great view. We liked the pool the most, it has a stunning view and my daughter also had a great time playing there. If we ever go to Madeira again, we will definitely stay here again!

Modern, clean and spacious apartments with balconies/mini outdoor yards. Friendly and accessible communication. The whole experience definitely exceeded our expectations!
