My goodness this place was the best villa I ever stayed . The local people at restaurants etc were fantastic . The was nothing that needed improvement honestly This villa gives you the peace of looking out at the sea everyday whilst still being close to local amenities. We are going again as soon as possible.

The villa was absolutely lovely and perfect for a group holiday! It was really clean when we arrived and the pool area and views are stunning. There is lots of helpful info in the villa booklets, and the only thing we would have added is a map with key things like shops and bus stops marked on it for us to follow. The area is hilly and it was fine for most of us, but one of our party is less mobile - so just something for future visitors to consider, taxis are easy though. If we needed to contact Our Madeira for any help they responded straight away, even on a Sunday, so we were really impressed with their service. There are several restaurants in Garajau and we enjoyed the ones we went to, and locals were really friendly. A local supermarket even helped us out by driving our heavy shopping back to the villa! You can take the cable car down to the beach and the restaurant down there has great service and food - again, really friendly folk. Thanks for a great holiday!

We had a brilliant week in this villa as a family. Beautifully furnished with outstanding views, great swimming pool, BBQ, gym and games room. We explored the island by car, bus and taxi without problems and were able to walk to the local supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and restaurants. There's also a short walk and cable car down to the beach below the villa. Very highly recommended.

There are simply no words to begin describing the magic of this place and we still cannot believe we were so lucky to have spent 5 nights there =) The hosts from booking all the way to meeting in person and then questions throughout our stay were absolutely fantastic which was the icing on top. The property itself felt like it's own private resort that we can confidently say will never be replicated on any other trip. The grounds were beautifully kept with so much outdoor space, the interior was pristine with ocean views in nearly every room, and then you have the three terraces with bright blue water as long as you can see and we just found ourselves staring for an hour at a time with how peaceful it is. The location is such a prime value as there's a great supermarket, general store, and fruit/vegetable story a few minutes away to stock up on items and only 12 minutes to get to Funchal with your car so all in all this is the most amazing and memorable place we have ever been =)

This was our second time back to Madeira, but our first time staying at this villa and on the east coast of the island. The villa has amazing views from the outside porch, private garden or down by the pool. Even at night has a great porch to stargaze from. Plenty of space inside and outside. Love that it was less than a ten minute walk to local restaurants and markets. Landscaping of the villa is breathtaking and accompanied with chances to see many birds and butterflies. Recommend this stay for a group as there is plenty of room for all. Even the game room downstairs was a nice addition. The hosts responded very fast and answered any questions in great detail. We would even stay here again too!

The villa was outstanding. The views from the terraces/decks and the infinity pool were breathtaking - better than can be depicted in the photos. Inside, the villa is spacious with bright common spaces and many comfortable seating areas. The beds in all of the bedrooms were very comfortable. The villa was very clean upon arrival and we were provided with all the necessary linens including beach towels. We found the location to be ideal. Though a car is a necessity - the location of the villa is a short drive from the airport and Funchal with easy access to the highway to explore the island. We would definitely stay at Villa Aquarela again.

Olá Our Madeira! The team at Our Madeira work very hard and were totally amazing! Villa Aquarela was a perfect location for our family holiday. Our children were super happy with the private heated pool and the views were amazing. Restaurants are 5 minute walk along Estr. do Garajau. The 155 bus to Funchal departs on the same road, opposite Dom Pedro. There is also a fruit and veg store called Frutaria Banamadeira if you need to stock up on supplies. Otherwise you can take a taxi to Pingo Doce Super Cancela - larger supermarket, costing around 5 to 7 euro each way. Bruno on -351917842416- (local taxi-6 seater-very helpful). Cristo Rei is a 20 minute walk, turn right from the front gate to the end of the road, use the stairs to get to R. dos Emigrantes, which then meets at Estr. do Cristo Rei. We thoroughly enjoyed a well deserved family break and my wife and children would love to visit again one day, as would I. Muito obrigado.

We loved to stay at Villa Aquarela. The stunning view, the beautiful infinity pool, the games room, the spacious and extremely clean and well equipped house made these holidays unforgettable. The communication with the OurMadeira team was great from the beginning to the end. Check in was very easy and we appreciated the personal welcome and tour of the property. We recommend to opt for the optional pool heating which allowed us to swim every day. Restaurants and supermarkets are close by. Very nice place with a nice view. We stayed for 8 days and were happy with the service provided. The partnered car rental works as well, as cars are essential to navigate around the island. Nice quiet place to relax all in all, recommended :)

We spent a wonderful week in this villa. The location is great with breathtaking views. The house is in a residential area, very quite, still close to restaurants and shops. The garden is amazing, full of beautiful flowers. The pool was a must for our kids, nice size and deep enough. Norberta was very kind and helpful with everything we wanted. Thank you. We often used the entertainment area in the evenings and the hometrainer was a big plus for me. Starting the day there while watching the morning ferry to pass by. We loved to have breakfast outside on the terrace before we left for our levada walks. We recommended this villa already to many of our friends and we will be back for sure.

Die Aussicht und die Ruhe sind einfach unbeschreiblich. Und dieser viel Platz, die wunderbare Außen Küche, der Pool den man beheizen kann. Das war einer unserer schönsten Urlaube. Auch die Kommunikation war sehr schnell und sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einmal klemmte die Türe und nach 2 std war es wieder repariert und tiptop. Wir werden wieder kommen

A truly beautiful villa. There is so much space. We loved the pool, games room and gym equipment but the main attraction was the spectacular view. Sunrise and sunset were amazing. Thanks to Carolina too who, from booking to check out, was so helpful. We can't wait to return to Madeira

Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel ausgestattet. Toll ist die untere Etage mit Fitnessgeräten, Tischtennisplatte, Billardtisch und Kicker. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Es gibt gemütliche Sitzecken mit grandiosem Ausblick aufs Meer.

The Villa itself is very spacious - two very nice en suite rooms perfectly suited four adults and baby. There was a third room with twin beds probably best suited for kids rather than adults. Good facilities and very relaxing to hang out. The views: amazing. Full sea views with sunrise and sunset; and actually sea view from most of the rooms in the villa. Typical day was to take a 5-10 min stroll up the hill to the local market and bakery for fresh bread, orange juice, eggs and of course the fantastic pastries. Then back to villa for breakfast on the terrace. You really need a car here if you want to explore - we did and enabled us to see quite a bit of the island. So typically we would go out for the day then either dinner at the villa or at the local restaurants, which whilst not much choice were perfectly decent. Tips: we paid for pool heating which was probably a waste as we weren't swimming that much and I doubt it made a huge difference (but with a baby we didn't want to chance it). We stayed one week and got transfers with our Madeira and hire car for four days - this seemed to work really well for us - could not fault it and the transfer is worth the money in my opinion. Other tip for driving: go slow! It is very steep and windy. Baby was car sick. Also we tried to drive to Monte and the car was not powerful enough to climb the steep road, so don't try it in a small car full of passengers! Would I stay again or recommend: yes. We loved the local feeling of Garajau, and it was ten minutes to Funchal by car, few minutes to supermarket. Thanks Our Madeira team!

Aquarela was perfect; location, amenities, space, views, - I could go on and on. Norberta at check-in was helpful and available for questions throughout our stay. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance and a full-service mercado just a short drive. Don't miss out on this gem. You won't be disappointed.

We were two couples so villa size was a little overwhelming. For a family with kids it would be magical. Sadly weather not warm enough to use pool since we are wimps! Our absolute joy was the outside space and the glorious view and sunsets over the ocean. Location was good, mainly quiet area apart from the dog choir at night ! We only ever managed to get the bus once to Funchal it was really scary ! Taxis from outside hotel Dom Pedro and the whole island were very reasonable and a great way to see the island. Eating out locally was good. The villa was spotless & well managed, transfers excellent, contact with team easy and effective. Would definitely return. Thank you

Da das Haus am Ende der Zufahrtsstrasse steht gibt es keinen Verkehrslärm. Es ist gut eingerichtet und genügend Platz zum Entspannen. Bei Fragen war Linda sehr hilfsbereit. Störend war nur, dass in jedem andern Haus Hunde sind, die bis Abends spät und in der Nacht bellen. Die Insel selber ist sehr schön und interessant, speziell der Wechsel innerhalb kurzer Distanz von Sonne zu Regen.

We loved the great view from all rooms onto the Atlantic Ocean and we liked the balconys , terraces , we very much enjoyed the pool! The children liked the games room. The house was even better and bigger, than we expected from the pictures. We were 6 adults, we used and enjoyed every corner of the spacy house. Preheated pool was a must for us, and it worked perfectly. Linda, who meet us at the house, was very kind and helpful. Big sunny barbeque area. Everything just modern and in good condition. Highly recommended.

A fabulous villa, clean,tidy and well maintained with everything you could possibly need provided for you. Positioned with an easy walk into the local shops and restaurants, so although we had a car we seldom used it on an evening. Would definitely recommend this villa.

This villa was as described. It is spacious, but also has quiet comfortable areas to relax. Everywhere was clean and beautifully presented. The kitchen is well equipped; we stayed for 2 weeks and used most of the domestic appliances including the cooker and washing machine. There is a games room downstairs with snooker and I recommend the table football...great fun! The views are simply breathtaking, with nothing to obscure the gorgeous blue sea. The pool was clean and maintained and the gardens appear to have recently had newly planted flowers and shrubs. . Each terrace is a delight to use and the owners have put a lot of thought into providing the essentials for their visitors. It is about a 10 min walk to the shops and restaurants which cater for your every need. We found the local bakery and coffee bars offered delicious cakes bread etc. The restaurants in Garajau are of a high standard with a good selection of fresh fish + meat. We used both the bus and taxis with ease and found local people helpful and friendly. The owner has a handbook which was very useful. I would recommend this villa the location is excellent and the facilities made our stay in Madeira a delight.
