Contemporary architecture and furnishings complement the open plan living areas to create a luxury feeling relaxing and peaceful ambience. The 3 south facing bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and air conditioning also open to the front terrace and pool deck. The last room has a multi-purpose use as the 4th bedroom or office, and features folding wall double bed and desk, opening to the rear garden area. There is also an additional full shower room, separate laundry with washer and dryer and garage with table tennis and darts for those leisure moments.
The whole of the south facing area is a large open terrace and pool deck, with sun loungers, outdoor dining table and barbecue. This is complemented either side by garden areas. On the western side a lovely tropical garden overlooks the ravine and sea, offering a quiet secluded area with table and chairs in which to relax and enjoy those breath-taking views and the beautiful sunsets.
Oceanair is set below the village of Prazeres in Calheta. Here you will find a selection of restaurants and cafés, and a supermarket within a radius of between one and two kilometres. Prazeres is also a great base for walking in Madeira, either along levadas or hiking, with easy access to the local expressway and to the Paul da Serra plateau. The resot of Calheta is 9 Km away, and the picturesque surfing mecca of Jardim do Mar 8 Km away.

Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one

the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from
the time the heating is turned on.

Ocean air is set below the village of Prazeres, Calheta. The
nearest facilities (a bakery and café) are a mere 1,2 km away. The
Village centre is only 2 km away and here you can find three
café/restaurants and the medical centre), as well as the
local supermarket.
Prazeres is also a great base for walking in Madeira, either along
levadas or hiking, with easy access to the local expressway and to
the Paul da Serra plateau.
The pharmacy of Estreito da Calheta can be found 5.9 km
away.
It is 9 Km to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden
sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants,
a larger branded supermarket, the marina (boat trips can be
arranged), banks and a chemist.
A 10 minute drive will take you to either of the two surfing
meccas of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, at sea level and with
trendy café-bars (try the caipirinhas and mojitos).
Funchal is an easy 45-minute's drive and the airport around 55
minutes along the motorway.
Cleaning
Cleaning and linen change is provided every 7 days.
All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the
swimming pool.
For health reasons, linen for a baby cot is not provided and you
should bring your own.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change
of linen.
Booking
Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the
property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of
adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements
apply should additional people join you for any length of
time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the
full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The
balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 500€ is required by credit card prior to
check-in.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival and once you have paid your balance. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made, and an additional cost will apply. Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other guests either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and of your departure for check-out.
Pool and garden maintenance will take place during your stay. The days and approximate times will be shown in the villa information books.
